Day 21: Enlightenment and Understanding

"Father God, you know all things. I pray that you would enlighten the eyes of my understanding that I may see and know the Truth (Ephesians 1:17-19). I ask that you reveal Scripture to me (Luke 24:45). I also ask you reveal anything in me that is not in accordance with you, your word and your standard of holiness. Open my eyes so that I may see myself and my sin - not so that I will be condemned or ridden with guilt because I know that is not of you - but so that I can be convicted and repentant. Open my eyes to those around me to see their needs and their wounds, so that I can be a blessing and a light rather than being judgmental and uncompassionate. I pray that you would give a kind, understanding and compassionate heart for others; and, that you would guide me into all Truth as I seek you wholeheartedly (John 16:13). I thank you in advance.
