Day 13: Strongholds

“Father God, I come before you today and ask you to help me overcome the strongholds in my life. You have given me power over to destroy each of them (2 Corinthians 10:4). I ask for wisdom, courage and faith to exercise the authority you’ve given me. I ask you to reveal to me the strongholds that have root in my life - I know there are some I’m aware of and some of which I have no idea. I bring each of them before you (specially name each stronghold the Holy Spirit brings to mind), and I break their hold on me in the name of Jesus. I ask you, Lord, to fill that hole with your grace, love and healing so that I might not fall prey to it again. I know this is a daily battle, so I ask for the strength to fight (Philippians 4:13). Thank you for the authority and power to conquer the sins in my life. You have not left me defenseless in this world. Thank you that the power that raised Christ from the dead lives in me (Romans 8:11) and is more than capable of destroying every stronghold that erects itself in my life against the knowledge and glory of God (2 Corinthians 10:5). I love you and thank you for deliverance. In Jesus‘ name I pray, amen.“
